Anyone else reckon this was a cheeky move by Rudd to actually gain the prime minister-ship? I'm just going off what he said in his little press conference thingo. Kind of sounds like he's making a cheeky move here - to me anyway.

Definitely. He knows he can't challenge Gillard directly so now he's playing the sympathy card.

It won't work in his favour though.

yeah^ that and when he spoke about the 'sneak attack' and how everyone knew it was wrong etc, that's making me think he wasn't entirely genuine

lol, that would actually be nearly as bad as Abbott leading Australia imo. It would never happen (hopefully both will never happen).

I believe Westminster convention (?) dictates that the PM is a member of the lower house. But it's only a "convention".
