AC Induction Motors

Hey. There is very limited information on AC Induction motors and the information that is available seems to go into stuff outside our scope. Pearson has no section on AC induction motors and Physics In Focus only has a small section. So is it okay to only know a limited amount of information on AC induction motors or is it recommended to do extra research and understand it properly?

I'm not very familiar with the HSC physics curriculm but usually textbooks give too much rather than too little information so I would guess you'd be safe; I would be surprised if you are expected to know much about AC induction motors.

Alright thanks! The basics are pretty simple using induction, but when they (videos, not textbooks) get to talking about things like 3 phase supply and stuff it's confusing.
