And btw to do physics in bachelor of science is it set out like the biomedicine course... where there is different kind of physics depending on whether you have or haven't done it in VCE?
In science, if you haven't done VCE physics and want to do a physics subject in both semester 1 and 2, you would probably do Physics 1: Fundamentals in semester 1 (you CAN do physics 1, but it would be more difficult to do well) and one of the Physics 2 subjects (either the life science based one or the tech based one) in semester 2. The fundamentals subject tries to catch you up with students who have completed yr 11 and 12 physics, so that you are not disadvantaged in 2nd semester. I, and a lot of other students, found the subject fairly difficult. It is fast paced and quite confronting to those who haven't ever done physics. It is, however, possible to get a decent mark with some study and work.
I do believe, that these students are still disadvantaged when beginning semester 2, as VCE physics students have studied some of the topics covered in physics 2 (magnetism, electricity, radiation...), whereas we haven't.
...there's a specific major for vet...
Yep, this is the Animal Health and Disease major. You can, however, keep both the vet and medicine majors open until the end of second year
