Tipping Federer in 4 sets tonight. Reckon fed will win set 1 and 2, murray set 3, fed set 4.
Go Fed, equal Sampras' 7 wimbledon titles record and become number 1! You can do it!

Bad luck to Murray, I'm sure he'll get a grand slam title eventually.

Congratz Fed, you deserved it!

Fair nuff. Just a random thought on probability, but could u ensure no loss by betting on both players of the same match? ;p

If fed wins he gets back his #1, go federe!

No, there will always be 1 player, with his/her odds below $2 in a head to head match in order so you can't break even or win

As a degen gambler, you can achieve this (it's known as arbitrage) by using different bookmakers and locking in different odds for different bets that way. There's a lot of money to be made in this situation if you can leverage whatever small edges you find

And when people were talking about bookmakers setting odds, that's where the whole edge/odds formula comes from, which is meant to tell you when to bet (ie when you think the bookmaker has miscalculated the odds or when you think you have information that is relevant).

If you want to have a read about it, Fortune's Formula by Poundstone is pretty good, or you can just google Kelly Criterion

I don't know if you can with bookies, but I know that you can if you use BetFair.
