I think realistically, Australia's only hopes are Rafter and Hewitt in the doubles. Stosur chokes on home soil, Tomic needs to pull his head in, Barty is too inexperienced (but I think she has massive potential) and Hewitt in singles is relatively unfeasible. I usually go and watch them, but given the heat this week I'm staying at home under an air con instead :P

I was waiting for this thread!!! Thanks for starting it Bullet!
I think Hewitt has higher hopes this year seeing from his strong Brisbane win against Roger Federer.
Plus the lack of injury is playing in his favour.  ;D

Hopefully, Rafa and Serena to take the Open title! What are your picks?

Haha seriously the Australian draws for the Aus Open are comparable to our World Cup draw LOL (no hope)
I really want to see David Ferrer claim the Aus Open title this year but realistically I'd pick Djokovic and Sharapova to take the Open Title (Summer heat to take its toll on some of the top players) :P

I'd love Tomic to choke and I'd love Hewitt to go as far as he could! Ultimately I'd be happy for Djokovic to win.

They're in the midst of upgrading courts for Australian Open but the only courts that have a roof are Rod Laver and Hisense arena. Margaret Court doesn't have one yet (2015 Aus Open) and certainly not the outside courts if I recall correctly. The first few days will have a toll on some of the players since majority of them will be on the outside courts rather than playing on courts with a roof plus the weather this week is ridiculous LOL
