I wouldn’t say it’s detrimental to learning but people here definitly don’t care much about the ATAR. They tend to use it to get into their course and so long as they can do that, they don’t care about doing way better than they have to. There’s a few schools like us now.

Good point. Maybe this has something to do with maturity - a year 7-9 obviously cares less about getting good results compared to a year 12.
