Yeah and you could read people's exam papers in front of you if you wanted to because some lecture theatres were tiered.
I always sat in the back to prevent any potential cheating from the person behind me haha.
The exams are not at allll as stringent - you can have all of your stuff with you and they barely patrol.
One of my exams I was in a lecture theatre cramped so close to the people next to me, and I brought coffee (from Starbucks) and it was fine except I couldn't fit it on the desk. But yeah you were pretty much touching other people and right in the side of the lecture theatre nobody can walk past you - you have your phone, your notes, everything with you.
I'm sure if you got caught cheating you would have some serious academic probation to answer to but it would be relatively easy to do so discretely I feel, for some of my subjects with a larger cohort (100 people say).
Other ones were like 10 people, couldn't cheat in that haha, but for the final for eg. my lecturer just went on Facebook on his computer the whole time and had conversations with people after they handed their paper to him before the exam was over haha. So informal!
I didn't think they would allow something so informal at Melbourne Uni though.
Wow MJRomeo the 1st of July! That's so late /:
Latrobe 13 week semesters are actually stupid - there's no reason for them. Is that the last day of the exam period or is there even more after that!?
