Although it varied from person to person, overall the concepts that seemed to trouble my students the most last year in unit 3 were:

The Reticular Activating System (RAS), Reticular formation, Thalamus, Imaging Techniques, Perceptual Anomalies, Working Memory, Kandel's work, Sperry's work, Loftus' work, and of course the dreaded Research Methods!

you can check out your school library for old checkpoints/A+ notes, sleep and states of consciousness was on the old study design too (althoug there have been a few minor changes), but they're still useful for practise.

#edit:

and i have a sample era if you want me to send it :)

It'll be good if someone did. I find that sources I read aren't stated clear enough and sometimes their examples don't even follow what they write.

‎"We divert our attention from disease and death as much as we can; and the slaughter-houses and indecencies without end on which our life is founded are huddled out of sight and never mentioned, so that the world we recognize officially in literature and in society is a poetic fiction far handsomer and cleaner and better than the world that really is."
- William James.

I didn't do Units 1 & 2 of Psych and the teacher said he'd photocopy the research methods chapter from it for me but he forgot. :( Would I still be able do go ahead with this chapter in the 3 & 4 textbook and then read the 1 & 2 chapter later?

Your 3 and 4 psychology textbook should have a chapter on Research methods which is based of the 1 and 2 book
