Hello VCE students,
VCE Mathematics is a course that can be very challenging, a course that can be incredibly stressful. But it does not need to be so.
As someone who has experienced the pinnacle of pressure-inducing situations in China's competitive high school society and a parent who has experienced his sons go through the arduous journey of VCE, I know how tough VCE mathematics can be.
I created this 'Transition' series for my own sons when they were going through the rigours of VCE and shared this system with a few students that were their friends at the time, a common reflection was that the system had helped them establish the areas of Maths Methods that they were unsure about, allowed them to fix it up and be perfectly ready for the 3/4 subject the next year.
A bit about myself and my credentials: I love studying Mathematics and the Sciences, resulting in a 100th percentile ranking, (top 1%) performance nationally in China in the high school examinations (Gao kao) in my year. While there were few high school competitions at that time, I was always in the top 5% of competitions that I participated in nationally. Over 20 years on, I am still able to competently teach VCE curriculum to my sons and their friends and have over 10 years of VCE related experiences (eldest son graduated in early 2000s).
