If a person gets like 4 or 5 superiors, then they wouldn't need to compare it to other people.

ohhh I thought getting a superior was determined by how well you did compared to others, like if you got an average of something wouldn't they need to see what the average is omg idk

I'm not so sure myself, but I was thinking of it this way:
For example, Person A scores over 90% on all their tests, thus their scores are already high. Like, you can already tell.

But, I think you're right about the superior thing and comparison with others. Though, I get the feeling that people who are filtered through that way receive interviews later than people like Person A.

the grades (superior, above, high average etc) are determined based on where you sit compared to everyone else. the top 10% of scorers on the test will get superior, the next 10% will get above average, the next 20% will get high average, etc.
also, i didnt get any email, but I'm feeling a lot better now that i see you guys didn't either. maybe it was just a glitch??

Interesting, I emailed JMSS this morning, and the teacher said she's positive that the result's not out yet.

Thank you for the email. The rumours you have heard are just that - rumours. Nobody has been invited for an interview as yet and Edutest results are not released until term 4 and only upon request, as per our Enrolment Policy which is available on our website. The Enrolment Policy also indicates times for notification of the outcome of applications.

anyway, how is everyone going?? who reckons they got into interviews?? according to my friend whose mum teaches at jm, there were 830 students and about 500 will get into interviews, so i think we have a pretty good chance!!

i'll see, but from my experience with nossal year 11s, the number of places fluctuate every year and there's no telling how many people will get in. it would only be a few spots though

I hope I get into the interviews, 500/830 is a pretty good chance, but who knows. It's good that you have connections with people from JMSS, it may increase your chances slightly.
