Hey dudes!

Hope everyones study is going okay! Just wondering if anyone had any predictions for this years HSC exam questions :) My school does Popular Culture (Hip Hop) and Belief Systems & Idealogies (Buddhism) as options - but feel free to post what you think will be asked for the others!!

Society is REALLY hard to predict but my teachers have predicted the following;

Cont + Change
- Near Future
- something on research methods

Belief Systems & Idealogies
- role of technology

Popular Culture

- development from local to global
- globalisation

these are my predictions;

Cont and change:
- multiple choice will be confusing as usual
- there'll definitely be a research method question
- "to what extent has change been beneficial to a country of your own choice"
there always seems to be a question about the effect of change imo (from the past papers i've encountered anyways)

conformity and non conformity:
- effects of deindividuation/peer pressure
- analyse how (any syllabus dot point here) affects how ________ is perceived

belief systems and ideologies
- haven't finished the course so i don't have a say. though i'm guessing there might be a question about secularisation, globalisation and technology somewhere.
Which will hold greater rule over you? Your fear or your curiosity?

I'm not sure about my predictions for each of the depth studies, but teachers at my school have insisted that we prepare for 'near future' questions in particular because it's been a long time since they've been used in the HSC (and they might come back at any moment)  :-\ This thread is a great idea, by the way! :D

Haven't thought about that actually. Can't remember the last time I saw a 'near future' question ....

I know right :/ It's definitely something to keep in mind for all of the depth studies and the continuity and change component!
