US Open Men's Finals 09: Roger Federer vs Juan del Potro

I am counting on roger's experience and variety to win his 6th consecutive US Open. Delpo is a tough opponent. Although he won his match against Nadal in straights, I think mentally, it's difficult, and quite a challenge to play Nadal and Roger two days in a row, in best of 5 sets. I think it will be a close match, but i will not be surprised if roger wins it in straights.

Roger has the matchplay steeliness,the wherewithal to hold on, weather any storm, then discourage a player after he makes some great plays, showing him that he can top him. He is also a strategist and tactician, and he has amazing reflexes, instincts, and intuition in execution, in the pressing heat of the moment, besides having measured his opponent and having plans.

I therefore put my money, so to speak, on Roger.

And congratulations to Kim Clijsters, the US Open Women's Singles winner, who came back from retirement to capture her second Gram Slam title.
