I was just wondering how long should i approximately spend on the multiple choice questions and short answers in the exam. Just to ensure that i finish everything on time  :)

For me, I try to do the first 5 multiple choice questions in reading time. Then I'll spend around a further 12-15 minutes on multiple choice. Hopefully like the trials, I'll have some extra time at the end of the exam to recheck everything (saved an extra 3 marks). Of course it will differ to you, but this is how I would do it.
Edit: Jokes I thought this was HSC Bio ....

Personally i spend 40 minutes on multiple choice, a minute a question on average, as some questions will take less time than that and some will take more than that. Try not to go over 40 minutes tho, max 45, because as you know SA take up more time.
I do try to read as many multiple choice in reading time, i get around 20 done in my head so that saves a bunch of time as when writing time starts i can get half done in around 10 minutes.
As for short answer, i spend the majority of time on as it can be tedious reading those paragraph long questions :/ So i allow myself 1 hour and 50 minutes.
Hope that helped :)

reading time- gloss over entire exam paper, note down hard q's. do as amny multiple choice in my head.
start with short answer, perfecting each response as much as i can.
this should leave like 45mins ish for multiple choice, which ill do the ones leftover, and double check a few multiple choice q's
leaves like 5-10mins for checking ahha

Did a practice exam just then using this technique - it's amazing! Finished almost one hour before the end of the exam time. ;D Probably going to do this in the actual exam!
