A ride like once every two months haha.
My bike is a Millward Alchemy (unknown brand I think) Carbon fork and rear stays, 105 groupset. Goes pretty well, does the job :)
My dad has an Azzurri Forza Ultegra Di2 Pro Road, got it new this year and was the first Ultegra Di2 bike in Victoria!
Last year I did the Around the Bay in a Day ride, was pretty tough but was a great challenge.

Ultegra Di2 is electronic gears, so the change is real smooth.

HAHAHAHAHAH actually laughed :P My friend's brother has access to good bikes, but I don't want to cycle, want to stay natural :P

The full one is 210km :P
When I trained for it I did like 50km rides with my dad every week, then we got up to like 100. The longest one we did was like 140 km I think. We didn't have to train for the full 210 because you catch the ferry across from Queenscliff to Sorrento, so you get a really long rest :P

this is my bike: http://www.specialized.com/au/gb/bc/SBCProduct.jsp?spid=62226&scid=1102&scname=Multi+Use+
it's pretty much your archetypal 'girly' bike but i find it relatively easy to maintain as compared to friends' bikes and it does it's job well.

i ride it to the grocery store (even though it's literally only a three-minute walk) because i drink ridiculous amounts of milk and my lack of upper body strength depends on the bike basket to carry my stuff. other than that i love riding for fun, especially around the docklands area and up the moonee ponds loop (towards southbank then pass melbourne high) partly because the entire route is very easy and relaxing. haven't had time to explore other trails yet though. any areas you guys recommend for a novice?

Haven't ridden a bike in 2 years since my poor Huffy broke. But now I'll need one to get from home to train station
Anyone selling a road/hybrid bike for around $150-250?
Alternatively, anyone know of any good second-hand bike stores? Monash Bikery is out of stock atm

If I can't get a 2nd hand bike, I guess I'll get this

giant alias 2008. Shimano Deore crossed with SRAM x-7 gear. Low tier hydraulic breaks. Nothing special but got it for 350 bux.
