Multiple Choice - Double marked ?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone had some knowledge as to whether or not the multiple choice section, in any exam is double marked? I mean, it seems reasonable that it wouldn't be double marked since there's only one correct answer. But on the other hand, markers are human too so are inherently prone to making mistakes. By only marking multiple choice once, that would leave potential for an incorrect final mark. Orrrrr.... am I completely wrong here in thinking that a person marks it, when it actually gets marked by a machine?

HSC 2017:
English (Advanced): 91    Legal Studies: 92    Modern History: 91    Studies of Religion 2: 90    Business Studies: 92

ATAR: 96.75

Really? How does that work if there are additional markings? For instance, what if I cross out my first answer, colour in another answer and write 'this answer' underneath it?

In VCE you can't mark multiple you have to erase it or it will be counted as if you have picked two answers and you get 0. I assume it's the same for HSC (correct me if I'm wrong)
2019: B. Environment and Sustainability/B. Science @ ANU
2020: Just Vibing
2021: B. Paramedicine/B. Nursing @ ACU Canberra

Nope, in the HSC you actually have to indicate by making an obvious cross through the answer you don't want, like, crossing it out :)

Semi-certain MC is marked by machine, then checked by a human if there are multiple markings or if it is otherwise confused. I don't know for sure, but this is how I've heard it described - In any case, don't be frightened, the chances of them making a mistake are less than super minimal ;D
