so people its not heaps of time left till our exams.. :'( yr 12 has flew by so quick...theres good and bad to that.
so has anyone started any kind of prep for exams? also rate how well your spending your time lately...
-
Almost there!!! Yeah i haven't been too productive for the last couple of weeks, but im trying to finish off exambusters/checkpoints for atm. Then start smashing out practice exams. I'd give myself a 6/10 right now - getting homework done and study for sacs, but i havent been doing exam prep at all...
-
i haven't really done any exam prep for chemistry and methods yet, only studying for sacs for these subjects. I've been writing essays for all 3 sections of the english exam and looked over my revs notes, besides that not that much prep.
Will probably start some hardcore study by the start of the holidays since i will have finished the last of my sacs for the year by the end of this term.
-
I think i'm doing relatively okay in preparation for methods and spesh. Done quite a few practice exams for them. I'm really annoyed at myself for chem though. Finished the course on the holidays but i've only done 2 practice exams so far. English is the most annoying to study for since i'm going to fail anyway.. and i'm giving myself a 1/10 for physics. I dont think i've done any textbook questions since around April/May.

Is it like 70-ish days til the english exam?
:o
okay, here's my situation (I'm screwed)
English: Done the texts I'm writing on
Methods: Up to Chapter 4D
Spesh: A couple of chapters to go
Physics: Haven't really started Unit 4 yet, winged one SAC
Chem: 2/3 though
:o

GG PHYSICS.

It's so hard to fit in "extra prep time" when there's countless sacs, homework tasks + relax time.
I'm not worried about the two IT exams. Maths should be good. English I'll have to wing it -- legal studies come the **** at me!
-
^^ i like how you have added the relax time lol

Can't believe how quickly August/term 3 has gone!
But yeah, feeling OK so far, but really gotta buckle down on Spesh and English, they are the two I worry about :S

I feel exactly the same. Yeah Spesh and English will make the difference between a 97 and a 99.95.

Hahaha yeah pretty much, not that I'm aiming for quite that high but English pretty well determines anything in the 99s!

I can't believe how fast exams are approaching either! Feels like we just finished midyears...
But yeah, 1 prac exam for spesh done and that's all. Rest of my time has been used procrastinating and studying for SACs. :) My only major worry is English... -_-

Like I've said in a number of threads already; start practice exams as soon as possible. Start compiling all your notes and have them done by the start of the term 3 holidays at the latest.
-
^^ im rethinking about doing notes anymore and just study straight from the book...highlight everything since i don't want to miss anything....so reckon its a bad idea?? making notes takes way too much time and i hate it..and talk about my atrocious hand writing makes it soo annoying to read...
-
Taking down notes, and studying straight through your book is a good long run for 2-4 weeks. After-hand, i guess you should do trial exams, and work it through in exam conditions.
-
It's best not too spend too much time taking notes though. Going into detail on every little thing would be mostly repetitive and time-consuming.
Once you start practice exams you can figure out your weak points and focus most of your notes there.
