Breadth subjects or subjects in general that are level 3 means they're very hard right?

they are meant for 3rd yr students.

can i do anything for breadth? like Criminology? Why would i want to do Commerce ones..
Yep. You can do any course outside your faculty.

No you can't... You can't take medicine, dentistry subjects for example.

Also if you are thinking of taking Math subjects as breadth you might also want to consider the concurrent Diploma in Mathematics.
What is a concurrent diploma? And how does it work?

And that applies to level 3 subjects in first year also? Is there any disadvantage to doing higher level subjects?

Yep.
Im not sure if there are any disadvantages in higher level subjects...
I guess they could teach more content...or maybe the depth of the subject is much deeper when compared to first and second year subjects
