i asked my teacher today about business definitions and she told me that there's a high chance that they could ask for ones not in my text book(my book doesn't define market share and supply chain)..  is there some sort of list of key terms?

i don't have a key list of definitions but i'll define market share and supply chain for you.

Market share is the percentage of the market held by an organisation through revenue.

Supply chain is the control of the flow of materials from suppliers through the workplace to the end customer.

Most of them should be in my notes over here, but yeh, they're mainly the ones in textbooks and such. I wouldn't say there's a high chance that they'll ask for definitions which aren't found commonly in textbooks (look over previous VCAA exams if you want proof), but yeh, it is possible, but I've really only seen it in trial exams. In the case it does happen, it's really a case of a balance between being as specific and articulate with the aspects of the term that you are definite about, and then as vague as you can with the aspects that you aren't. As with many things in BM, it's really a case of just how you word it; not what you know about it.
