Well i have a new psu and i would like to know whats the best graphics card  i can get with my new Thermaltake 300w @ 19amps on 12v rail  :smitten:

Only 300W?

Nothing powerful. I think the ATi 5850 uses nearly 350W on its own.

Joe, I though you would know this but Amps is what really matters iv seen people with generic 500w psu's @ 19 amps

Umm...350W on a 12V rail:









i.e., you can derive current required on a rail based on its watt usage, as PSU rails are generally 12V.

Your wrong by a long shot
Iv seen a few reviews and they say that at Full Load the 5850  takes 158W which is still quite alot anyways
im getting a 9600gt anyways

And because you wanted awesome, CrossFired 5850s consume twice that amount...which is around 316W by your figures.

9600GT should work fine with the 300W PSU.
