I go to a very highly ranked school though not MHS or MacRob, and received a mark of less than 50% my first Further sac for Part 1 of the core, if I get an average of B's for the next few sacs and then (as well as my cohort) assumably do well in the exam (A average), will this help my horrible mark? if so can it be guessed by how much?
Thank you!

Well since it's further and you're expecting an A on your exam, i'd doubt your sacs would be marked up much, if they end up getting marked up at all.

To come Rank 1 in MHS is to come Rank 20 in a shit school...
Lolwut? Awesome with a rank of 20 in a shit school I get no. 1 at MHS? I think you confused your wording, it made me sit here for a minute thinking about it. Do you mean being number one rank at a "shit" school is equivalent to a ranking of 20 at MHS? Just to clear some confusion :)

EDIT: lol the quoting stuffed up but all fixed now :P

Ooh yes i didn't realise that :)

But by getting into Melbourne High you probably have above-average intelligence and/or attitude. The SACs are apparently harder, but if they're harder, then since you were able to get into this school you should be able to handle them fine.

The SACs at MHS and Mac.Rob are usually (but not always) much more difficult than other schools because there's the need to separate 250/350 very capable students.

Are you from Mac. ROb?^

Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Theres only a certain area they can test you on - the study design. SAC's cant be that hard, they only test you on stuff youve learned.

They can be impossibly long and have harsh marking criteria.

Wow this must be the biggest Bs thread ever. Dont give me all this injustice crap. Like said before you guys at MHS get your sacs scaled up without even doing anything. Even if you like get really bad scores for SACS like how SmRandmAzn said about the methods score they still get scaled up to A's and A+'s. So stop the whining and grow up.

@Studyinghard, the SACs get scaled up for a reason - not for nothing. It generally makes it fair. It just makes it harder to top the cohort and win the corresponding school-based prizes, that's all.
