But in my opinion, if you drove an automatic car during probationary, chances are that you're not going to go to a manual.

Not always the case though. My friend's brother had an auto car during his whole probationary license and when he got off his P's, he bought a 350Z and learnt how to drive manual in that.

I can not touch the accelerator pedal at all, and go from 40 to 80 :) now THAT's laziness to a new extreme.

Yeah, well that type of cruise control is for the truly lazy (I've used it in my car, dw :P ).
When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be AWESOME instead. True story.

I drive an auto, but drove a manual for the vast majority of my learner period. Manual is more enjoyable, but can get annoying in situations where your currently stop-starting. Also, it is quite hard to find a decent second hand manual car.

Manual.
More fuel efficient, more fun, more power (depends).

With that said, I drive auto. Haha.

I beg to differ on this count... I did my test in an auto car, but I know how to drive manual. At the time, new laws were coming out and I wanted to be sure I would pass my test, so I took the easy way out. I figured being restricted to autos while on my Ps was better than to risk being restricted by all the new laws like passenger numbers and having an extra year of P-plates. However, I like driving manual and I'll probably drive one in the future.
