i am angry about repairing a movie

i dl this file 700MB and then it was a movie and then they say it needs repairing on VLC then i press okay and they only give me 3.36min of the movie... is there a way i can fix this.?

Usually means its faulty... ocasionally repair fixes it but most of the time it means the file is wrecked.
