A £56MILLION lottery winner has been forced to give a share to the ex-wife who dumped him TEN YEARS AGO.

Divorced Nigel Page, 44, was sued by Wendy after his EuroMillions jackpot this year, even though she left him for another man in 2000.

...

The £2million lump sum she agreed to accept is entirely hers to spend as she wishes - after a bid by Nigel to pay it into a trust for Ella was vetoed.

Wendy is also believed to have obtained a huge increase in maintenance payments for their daughter - up from £150 a month to £2,000.

She is said to have rushed to consult lawyers after discovering Nigel planned to give other relatives money.

I can't help but think that the extent to which the law can favour certain people is ridiculous.

I agree, she's so self-centered. I don't even quite understand in what way she is entitled to the money. >:( As the title reads they were divorced 10 years ago. It's absurd to think that she got 2 mil.

The law is ALWAYS biased towards favouring females.

Fact.

my dad says so too (through 'personal experience') and I always argue against this. Though cases such as this do weaken my view that the legal system is reliable. I would love to know the details of this case though, and what the judge was thinking.

You could argue against this, and im sure many times men have won cases against females

However not only do women win legal battles regarding prenuptial agreements that are in some cases ridiculous (as in this case), they are also able to make up a shit load of stories of "sexual assault" etc.

The legal system is not always biased towards women, only when the issue at hand plays into social stereotypes (custody, sexual assault etc.)

What a BITCH!

Let me ask one thing, what's going to happen when he goes through that?

Like I mean £56million is more money than what any (average) person will through in their life, but you hear stories about these people going through it rapidly.

Anyway as for the law being biased towards women I don't think that's the case but it goes to people who can play the system.

The law is ALWAYS biased towards favouring females.

Fact.

I believe so as well, at least based on reports be the media. If a woman is unfairly treated, the story is often repeated on current affair shows, but never is any such sympathy given to men in the reverse situation.
