haha since everyone in FSN is like so smart i think most of us would feel that our good scores will be wasted if we dun go to uni >.<
I don't think it is necessarily a waste. Our 2005 dux got 98+ and became a pastry chef. I guess you do what you like. Don't be fooled. Being a GOOD tradie is harder than you think. My dad has worked his ass off to be a top notch plumber. There are a lot of regulations you have to follow, paperwork, quotes, planning jobs (potential obstacles that may be faced), red-tape. To actually be a good tradie is just as hard as going to University.
Certain tradies give tradies a bad name. My dad was telling me.
[Most of my dad's work is construction, not maintenance]
He was working in Carnegie. Some old lady had called him up. She had a blocked pipe. She had a young plumber and his apprentice come in the day before to try and fix the problem. She left the house to do some shopping or something and came back, the plumber had got all her expensive towels and used them to clean the mud off their shoes and shit. And after 3-4 hours he said "what do you expect me to do about this blockage... I cant fix it". And he charged her 400 bux for doing no work ( he changed a washer or something on a tap... big woop)
My dad came and fixed the problem in less than an hour and charged her 150 bux or something. He couldnt believe the plumber the day before had ripped her off so much and didnt even do the work he was sposed to do.
Fuken tradies taking advantage of little old ladies. Its quite sad.
