Any courses that require a folio and interviews.  So basically any other courses that have any extra requirements other than the ATAR.  Examples would include Aviation at Swinburne, Fine Art at RMIT.

Yeah you should be able to, but why not put it in now if you have some spare slots.

Hi, I didn't think my question was that important to start a new thread so I'll just post it here.
I did my preferences for uni on VTAC the other day but put a course down as number 1 that requires 96.4 atar. I know I won't get it but is it worth putting down? And also my second preference requires a 60 atar or something like that but then my  third needs an 80. Does it make sense to do this? I know I have plenty of time to change it, I just wanted some advice now.

Well personally I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as that's the order in which you want those courses.

I have a 99.9 ATAR as my first preference. In my UAC application I have a 97 as 1st and then a 99.7.

It's probably a bit pointless to have something that requires a higher ATAR below a preference with a low ATAR requirement, but you never know... The cut off/clearly in might change, etc... :)

UAC is VTAC, but for NSW and ACT.

(Also, too many initialisms in one post).

One of the reasons why you shouldn't put your preferences in terms of chronological ATAR order.  I know a few people who have come out disappointed because they did that.

Just put it in the order you want to do it, and don't feel bad about going into a course that requires a low ATAR, as long as you're certain that's the course you want to do!
Best advice I can give right now :P
