Just some questions about UMEP/MUEP

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone could answer any of my questions:

1. What textbook does UMEP or MUEP require for the Maths Enhancement Course?

2. Do some of the concepts raised in either UMEP or MUEP relate to anything in Math Methods or Math Specialist?

3. Would it be possible to just do distance eduation for the Maths Courses and come into either university to sit their exam? (I live very far from both uni's, It takes, for me, 2.5 hours to get to University of Melbourne!)

4. What is the general cost of the UMEP? (I am 90% sure that Monash was $900!).

5. Does knowledge in Advanced General Math or Physics help out in anyway? (I'm doing Units 1&2 Physis and just General Maths, my teacher says the students are too dumb to get an Advanced General Math class and that there isn't enough people. :()

EDIT: Question 6. This isn't related to Enhancement Studies Math but VCE Level Maths. Is it recommended to purchase more than one math book for each maths? (I am thinking of buying both the Math Quest OR Heinemann along with Essentials for Math Methods and Math Specialist)

EDIT: Just this one and I am, hopefully, done. 7. What would happen if I don't meet the prerequisites? (I am doing both Math Methods and Specialist but I am not getting an A to A+ on Math Methods, I am getting a B to B+ :(. I am averagine B+ on all my subjects. :))

Thank you to anyone who can answer my immense amount of questions!

3. University of Melbourne does not offer distance education for any of their UMEP courses. I asked about this. Lectures are also not recorded for UMEP maths, since it's a different course to what's offered to first-year students (I don't think they record those lectures either).

4. UMEP charges no fees. I think you have to buy textbooks yourself though. Also, school centres may chose to charge.

6. I wouldn't waste the money, just try to get a hold of the PDF files for the other textbooks.
