One of my friends who did MedEntry this year asked the school to apply to MedEntry on her behalf to obtain a "Teacher Nominated Bursary", which means that, if the school writes a cover letter for you, you get to purchase their Platinum package for $300, using a special discount code at checkout. It's still pretty expensive (to me), but I'm going to try to apply to my school for it, even though they only grant the bursary to one student per school. But as far as I know, it can't be used in conjuction with the $570 group discount.
So if you're thinking of doing MedEntry, I'd suggest give this a shot before you purchase the platinum package. I hope this helps someone.
Teacher / Principal / Lecturer / Professor Nominated Bursary
If you wish to apply for this bursary, please ask your Teacher, Principal or Lecturer to write to MedEntry with reasons why you should be awarded the scholarship. This must be on a school/university letterhead.
The reasons why you should be awarded the scholarship may include the following:
- Academic scholarships, awards or achievements
- Co-curricular excellence (eg. leadership,public speaking)
- Any other awards/achievements (eg. Science Olympiads, High Distinctions in ICAS)
Please ask your teacher to address and send the letter (or email: [email protected]) to:
Scholarships Officer, MedEntry UMAT Prep, PO Box 445, Fawkner, Vic 3060, Australia.
Note:
Only one student per school is eligible to obtain this Bursary (an exception may be made if nominees are outstanding).
Generic letters of support addressed as "To whom it may concern" will not be considered.
This discount cannot be obtained retrospectively (i.e. after the student has enrolled and paid).
The scholarship applies to the Platinum package only.
Also, their standards are so hich - Science Olympiads? :O
