The Imaginative Landscape --- Expository Essay

Prompt: People's fears and desires are often revealed through their perceptions of landscape...

So this is the prompt I have been given for my English homework and I kind of need supplementary material that will go with it...

The book we are doing is Island by Alistair MacLeod so if anyone has any examples from that that relates to the prompt, I would love to hear from you!
