Depends what you major in/ how you score.

Engineering, research, teaching, medicine, vet, food science, pharmacology, environmental science, marine biology, math..

check out http://bsc.unimelb.edu.au/majors

2012-2014. BSc: Neuroscience. University of Melbourne.
2015-2018. Doctor of Optometry. University of Melbourne.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.

you'll be nothing more but a lab monkey if you don't pursue postgrad

same with biomed.

in fact, i've heard that it's now harder to get a job with a biomed degree than a bachelor of arts!!!

this is true and not true, with a general degree in biomed/science you can work in a diverse range of fields but alot of companys/employers would much prefer you do a hons year or have phd/masters in science before they employ you.
