How does the end of year exam effect the folio marks?

My teacher brought up something rather interesting about the exam and folio, she said say if the folio was to get an A(or something like it) and got a C for the end of year.. the folio marks would be brought down.. so does that mean if you get a bad mark on the folio and an A+ or A on the end of year exam.. will the folio marks be brought up???

Yes. If you go really well on the exam your folio can go up. (What I'm planning on doing because my folio is rubbish)
