Paragraph size

Is it fine if our body paragraphs for a text response are not even in size? i.e one paragraph is clearly larger than the other or one is clearly smaller than the other. Would examiners see it as a lack of attention to one idea (smaller paragraphs) or too much focus on the idea(larger paragraphs), resulting in an uneven balance of ideas?

My paragraphs are usually even in size, but i'm just asking in case i run out of things to say during the exam and end up having clearly different sized paragraphs.

Thanks:)

Hard work pays off. If you don't think so, you're not working hard enough.

When my English teacher corrects my drafts she often realises that certain paragraphs are longer than others, and it would be beneficial for my mark if all paragraphs were weighted with the same amounts of writing. It's basically to show that you can present a deep understanding of all your arguments, rather than leaning towards just one. Personally, I aim for around about 400 words per paragraph (three body paragraphs).

I think in English structure is less important than something like politics. Hence my paragraphs in this subject are completely erratic; in a single essay they'll vary from 10 lines to one and a half pages, and I've never incurred any penalties for that. It's a lot to do with the points which you're discussing in these paragraphs, also, and how much you weight them in the context of your essay. As long as they're coherent and you maintain focus, the length isn't too important (as long as it's not unrealistic). As soon as you feel that a paragraph is starting to break off into another one, try to tie it up. But I honestly wouldn't worry about trying to make them all of comparable length.
