conflict/context sac help? (crucible)

hey all
so naturally i'm freaking out about my sac tomorrow, i feel my points aren't strong enough
any feedback would be fabbo!

'when conflict occurs, the group becomes more important then the individual'

so my ideas are:
-when one suffers depression, and or on the edge, it is often only family and the closest to them that keeps them hanging on, the family is their 'group'
-Elizabeth proc sacrificed her own values to save her husband, again for family,
-when men went off to war (WWI/WWII), they feel a sense of responsibilty to the group, i.e country/nationalism/loyalty

-however when people are driven by self interest or greed, they care purely for themselves; i.e Abigail Williams + Kazan with the McCarthyism hysteria

what do you reckon?? thanks!

I don't think you are interpreting the prompt well. The prompt, in my opinion, wants you to discuss the imbalances of power, especially on how in the name of the majority, the rights and interests of the minority may be crushed. How power in numbers can lead to the bully and persecution of innocent members of the community. Think about powerful authorities or groups in history and its effect on individual members of society, think about Gallileo and how he was persecuted by religious groups simply because of his scientific ideas which run counter to the concept of God, the formation of the KKK and the black lynching which invariably ensues, and how powerless individuals are when they are left alone to fend for themselves. It is also warrants a discussion on morality and integrity, whether one should adhere to one's principles in the face of conflict or adapt and conform to the views of the majority in order to survive.
