Best ways to sketch sin and cos graphs.... like finding x-intercepts, (with dialations)....or even without any dialations.

Does general solutions formula work for x-ints...??  :(

also, the best method to find solutions in negative quadrants eg. [-2 pie, 2pie ]

general formula would work except if the graph has a vertical translation.

how do you use the formula, on sin and cos, -- because sin has 2??   --- ( thanks for telling of the vertical)

Those formulas should be in your book.

Remember

pick random values of n (I'd just start off with 0, then maybe 1, -1 etc etc) and make sure the final answer is in your domain.

 actually    TRUETEARS..can you apply the general formula, if theres a horizontal translation?

as a general rule, don't use the general formula. approach the problem graphically.
