Word Bank for Literature Analysis

Hey guys,
I am currently struggling with making my close analysis essays more sophisticated.
That is why I'm starting up this topic for any of you who would like to contribute your great vocabulary with any good words to use in essays that will help explain things in a more professional way (and impress the examiner).
Just enter your word, how you use it and in what type of context.
Ie. Xenophobic- used to describe the behaviour of an individual who has an unreasonable fear or hate towards anything foreign. A good way to describe Eggs Bennedict in Two Brothers by Hannie Rayson, and the Right political party.

Try this. Much simpler, quicker and will likely lead to better retention.
