Hey guys, I've been going through the VTAC guide now for a number of months exploring options and finally decided on doing a law double degree and ended up narrowing it down to the degrees mentioned in the title.

I was wondering, what exactly are the differences/similarities/positives/negatives between Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics and Accounting.

Just based on what you've said on your other thread, that you haven't done any maths for two years, do not do Finance, you'd be crazy to do that!

Accounting I would also recommend against.

finance - don't do if you don't have a maths background

economics - similarly, depending on what type of economics, also don't do if you don't have maths background

commerce - too broad

business - too broad

accounting - it's okay, up to you to see how you like it

Accounting is math heavy but not math intense
It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.

commerce > business so if possible pick a degree in commerce and then pick your majors may it be finance/accounting/economics

You can also double major so you can fulfill most of your interests.

Reasons to do subjects are already covered in the posts above.
