URGENT ATAR HELP

Hi all, is it possible if I could receive a 90+ atar with these averages :(

Eng: 75% average
Bio: 73% average
Legal: 87% average
VCD: 88% average
Maths: 60% average

I’m sitting around medium-high in most of my subjects. Probably very high in legal.

If I do well in my exams let’s say A+ in most of them, is a 90+ atar achievable?? Or even an 85+

Hey!

Sure, a 90+ ATAR is achievable, but it's pretty much impossible to predict based on raw scores alone. This is because different schools have different SACs, meaning it's very likely students are sitting SACs of different difficulties. As a result, an 80% average or whatever is pretty meaningless, because that could be really great at a school with very difficult SACs, or quite poor at a school with very easy SACs.

With that said, it sounds as though you're on the right track. As hard as it might seem, I'd encourage you to try to worry the least amount possible about specific numbers, and focus more on things like where you can improve, preparing for your exams etc. I know this probably isn't the response you're looking for, but honestly I think it'll be much more helpful in the long-run!

Good luck. :)

Thanks for the response! I’m aware that our sacs are pretty difficult compared to other schools, so hopefully that will be beneficial for me. I will take your advice strongly and try worry less about the past and focus more on the present (exams are in 3 weeks haha) thanks for your help  :)

Do SAC's really count in this case if you do well in your exam? like for example if you were to get around 80-90 across all exams, would your SAC's be moderated up regardless of your ranking? Or are SAC's crucial in terms of a difference between a 80 and 90 ATAR

You’ve asked this before. Your sacs are dependent on your rank. Your sac scores will be moderated up/down to the same as the same rank exam score. Eg as rank 10 you will get the 10th highest exam score as your sac score.
