how much should I write for LA?

I checked some ESL responses from last year. They are varying between 150-350 words and yet I used to write 2-4 pages (depending on the intensity of the article) in my sacs. Is it just length or getting the job done no matter how short your write?

I'm writing 2 pages handwritten, which is about 450 words. I'm getting 9-9.5 for LA atm,so yeah 450 words should be enough.
