It is definitely a general solution rather than two specific values.

If you said for that complex ques

npi/12=k x  pi/2
N= 6k k€J or n= + or -6, + or -18.....
Is it wrong?

How much marks would I lose for the last question of the complex (If it was a 2 mark question I cant remember though) If I left it as z1=i*sin(pi/12*(12k-6)) , k E Z?
Would I get no marks? :o

That's what I did too! But the question didn't restrict the argument, so I think we were meant to keep the general solutions :(

Does anyone remember whether the question in 2. e ii said to express the solutions in Cartesian form, so i and -i, or would it be okay if we left it in polar form?

It is definitely a general solution rather than two specific values.

But the question is saying finding the value(s) of n.  General solution is not "values". but "solution"

What?
Infinite solutions is still value(s)
Anyway there's no way you can possibly justify non general with a dubious techinicality...
It's clearly a general solution, there's not even a debate about it...

How many marks would I lose for not giving general solution then? 1? 2?

Yeah mines similar to yours I got:
i*sin(pi/2*(2k-1)), kEZ

Is mine techniquely right aswell?

Exam 1 30/40
Exam 2 70/80
SS 37?

Depends on the exam 2 cut, but 37 sounds about right (if not a little lower).
