Lol guys I was kidding.
Why should you get excited about English?
Because you're immersed in it!!! It's everywhere!!! You live in, like, a sea of English (metaphor and imagery). You live in it, you breathe in it, imagine a world without it! (appeal to fear and security)
Hope that clears things up :)

Unlike any maths or science subject, English lets you speak and voice your opinion. There is no right or wrong answer, it's down to the way you interpret it and the evidence you give to back it up.

Personally, as much as i tried to convince myself otherwise, i never liked english. I wouldn't go so far saying hating it, but the infinite ways to approach the same thing always confuzzled me, and the physical pain of writing compounded my dislike of the subject, as well as the fact i went on a rollercoaster with my marks on practice essays especially throughout the year.
But the things is, and the biggest motivation for english if your not truly passionate should be that its by far and away the single most important subject for your VCE. First of all it has to be top 4, and secondly because it doesnt scale significantly generally each raw study score extra is worth far more than in other subjects of your top 4.
For me the word i used was never 'excited' but 'motivated'
