I've had plenty of people ridicule my aims. At first, I kept thinking "wow, maybe I am being optimistic" but since joining here and meeting the all mighty Brendan.. really, I've never looked back. I avoided spesh for this very reason, but got back straight into it after having a few words with fellow ANers..

I don't mind criticism as long as it's reasoned and constructive. If their aim and purpose is to put me down, I simply don't care. I tell them that it's none of their business and that it's my problem not theirs, while also politely educating them that if they're indeed better, my rank should not affect (a or e? ) them adversely.
