For first years and in general (at times) they will usually go through stuff like that in your first lecture/class.  Your first lecture is like an introduction to the subject and most of the time there is no/very little course material covered.  Like they will screencap and circle where you would find things on the LMS.  So I wouldn't worry, it's pretty easy to get used to quickly.

You only really use the LMS to get onto the page for each subject.

They'll get released once they actually upload their stuff to the LMS.

There's nothing that really needs to be taught - everything that they post will go up in the announcements for each subject, and the rest is up to you to explore, because each subject sets up their LMS page differently. Smaller languages, for instance, have virtually nothing on them and there are no LMS updates, whereas larger subjects with pracs (i.e. 1st year bio, chem) have updates multiple times per week to notify students of assignments and things deemed relevant to the study of the course.

As far as I know, to answer your questions, no there are not any online tutorials which teach you how to use the LMS and there aren't workshops which cover the use of the LMS. There's simply no need for it.
