Year of wonders questions?

Can someone give some ideas for any of these questions? I have some ideas already but I feel like I should 'dig deeper'.. Any help would be appreciated! :)
(Among those that go down to the Pit)
1. How does Anna give Mr Mompellion ‘respite from  the graveyard’? What did we learn about her actions?
 - By asking her father to take the position as sexton
 - That she is caring and compassionate??
2. How are David Burton’s actions viewed by the narrator? (p 173-174) What do his actions demonstrate about humanity?

3. How does the writer position us to view her actions (refer to persuasive language, imagery, etc) which are in sharp contrast to David’s actions?
 - Anna compares her situation to Sam's --> The writer tries to evoke sympathy in readers..?
 - Vividly detailed description of the course of events --> Readers are felt more closer to the narrator --> fear instilled in readers

(Also it would be appreciated if ideas were given today.. )
