Hello everyone
I have a question regarding majors. I'm a first-year B-Arts student and I'm not sure what I'm majoring in.
This semester I'm doing subjects from
- Spanish
- Politics & International Studies
- Media & Communications
- Business Law (Breadth)
Next semester I HAVE to do:
- Representation (Arts Foundation)
- Spanish
- ?
- ?
Next semester I want to try an English & Theatre Studies subject as well as a History subject to see whether I like the subjects and if I want to major in them (not enjoying my Media & Communications subject). However, in the handbook for Politics, English & Theatre Studies, AND History, it says:
Major
The BA major in English and Theatre Studies consists of eight 12.5-point subjects, totalling 100 points and comprising:
Level 1 (25 points)
one level 1 English and Theatre subject (12.5 points)
one Arts Foundation Subject (12.5 points)
obviously replace English and Theatre Studies with the other subjects but the gist of it remains the same.
So can I use my Arts Foundation subject as credit towards Majors in two subjects? What happens if I do, say, a Level 1 English and Theatre Studies subject and a Level 1 History subject next semester, and decide I want to major in, say, Politics and History? Is that possible? Will I have to do another Foundation subject next year, or can I do another, say, Level 1 History subject next year so instead of doing Level 1 subject + Arts Foundation I'll do Level 1 Subject + Level 1 Subject?
