Hey,
Wasn't sure where exactly to post this, so feel free to move if need be.
A friend of mine in year just got un-enrolled by the school in English 3/4 and History 3/4. He is currently in year 12, doing (was doing) those subjects as well as Chemistry 3/4, Method 3/4, Physics 3/4 and English unit 1, having competed Further Maths 3/4 last year (ss of about 26-30 I believe)
Thus far, he has failed to achieve the pass mark on a couple SACs, but has successfully re-sat and passed them, as is the requirement.
As mentioned, the school has un-enrolled him in both English and History, despite no consent being given on his part, citing that he hasn't been completing the work required. In terms of homework or 'coursework' he says "Ahead 2 weeks in Chem, up to date in English, meth, phys, like a week behind in history." Being in his methods and chemistry class I know he isn't lying about those two classes, I have no reason to believe he his lying about the others.
The school is forcing him to complete VCE over 3 years by taking English next year, something he does not want to do.
So, my question is what do you think that best action is. What are his rights?
