Composite Function Question

Can someone please show me how to answer this question:

Let $a$ be a positive number, let $f:[2,\infty)\rightarrow R,\;f(x)=a-x$ and let $g:(-\infty,1]\rightarrow R,\;g(x)=x^2+a$ . Find all values of $a$ for which $f\circ g$ and $g\circ f$ both exist.
