Some advice would be appreciated

Hi,

I am currently in year 11 and enrolled in VCE. I studied LOTE Romanian and scored a 50, and I currently study Accounting, Methods, Economics, EAL/ESL and Chemistry.

I am planning to go to university in the UK and hopefully get accepted by one of the top colleges in there. For this to become reality, I need to score a very high ATAR.

I am very confident in my Accounting skills, as I only dropped 3 marks in the past 4 tests and 1 mid-year exam. I am aiming for at least a 48+, if not a 50 in this subject.

My English is very strong as well, and I am quite confident that I will score at least a 40 study score, if not higher.

Chemistry is going all right, not the best but still not the worst. I am ranked 4 in the entire year level in this subject. The school I go to is Mentone Grammar, which is quite decent. I will probably aim for a 40+ in Chemistry.

Economics is going just fine, I constantly score low to medium A+'s in tests and exams and am ranked in top 3 in the year level. I will probably aim for at least 40 in economics.

Methods is just going terrible, I wouldn't bet on a score higher than 35. Even though I do all the work and I get all the concepts, I keep doing stupid mistakes that drag me all the way down to B+'s and low A's. It is quite frustrating but I guess I haven't got a choice.

Having said all this, what I am looking for is some advice on how to tackle year 12 in order to achieve my final goal of getting into a top university in the UK. This means I will probably have to score 98-99+, which is quite achievable, due to the 50 I already have and my overall good performance in the other subjects.

What do I have to do to achieve an ATAR score of 98-99+, given the circumstances? (and please don't say "study", because I already do study)
What books do I need in order to help me improve and achieve my best?
What do I have to do to get very high scores in the end of year exams?
How do I manage not to lose my confidence?

Any additional comments on studying at top unis in UK and ways to getting there are welcome.

Thank you!!!
