Hey guys, just wondering if you could give me an insight to VCE PE and VCE Health and Human Development and suggest what you think I might enjoy doing for Unit 2 to Unit 4. I would also like to know which one is better for you according to your experiences (I personally enjoy straightforward subjects:) ) I would appreciate any recommendations/suggestions....
I haven't done PE but from what I've done in Health & Human, it's basically different stuff you learn about in unit 3 and 4 (i.e. it's not JUST about health but also about how health can impact human development i.e. people's ability to reach their full potential, live according to their needs and interests, access health, access knowledge, access a decent standard of living and expand their capabilities in life and how this plays out in developing and third-world countries. Basically all that is covered in Unit 4; while in Unit 3 you focus more on Australia's health - our main diseases (NHPAs), how we measure health status, nutrients and the role of nutrition in preventing or increasing disease risk and Australia's healthcare system (medicare, private health insurance) as well as how we promote healthy eating in Australia (through food selection models, Nutrition Australia, etc)

I think Health is a pretty straightforward subject, the content itself isn't too hard and personally I think it's not THAT boring (but some people can find it boring/dry) so it's quite subjective I guess! It does have a lot of content to memorise (as with most subjects) and most Qs follow a similar pattern in terms of answering style

Which unit 1 subject have you done so far? Unit 1 PE or Health?? If you've done Unit 1 Health, I think it should be kind of similar to unit 3 in terms of health status measures - that said, you don't need to have done 1&2 to take up 3&4 health
