Are there any other possible options, or will I have to do that? My older sister is going to University next year (and hopes to go to a melbourne one) but she will stay in a college if that happens. Alright, thanks! Right now my problem is accommodation :( [/suspicious]

No, unfortunately not that we know of :( There's no hostel, or anything. As southmelbdimsim said you can live with a family that school helps out with.

If your parents consider buying a small house for your sister and yourself, pick one that's close to the school, lol :P

Can't your family move to Victoria perhaps? :)

Sorry, a bit off topic, but have you found the Class of 2018 forum Sarah? Also, good luck with your selection into JMSS :)

I'm thinking of looking for a small apartment/building for my sister and I to share, but my parents have always been insistent on my sister to go to a college 'for the experience'. I may as well try though!

Try persuading them that she can get the college experience without perhaps living there :P Idk.

Hope you persuade them! :)

You don't happen to know where the cheap properties are in Melbourne? Preferably in a good neighborhood and not dodgy.

You should look around the Clayton area (like Hannibal suggested), don't be like me about to spend the next 3 years, with 3 hours of transport everyday (I'm still not over this... I will never be over this). So try around the eastern side (I'm not sure about expense). I'm pretty sure it's expensive to live in the city... Idk. I am of no use here, ahaha. :P

Sorry :(

Try googling it :/ Either some smart people from AN will answer your question, or if you have any relatives up here, then ask them :)
