Changing the box answer unit

Hi,

Wanted to clarify an issue. Was told that I can cross out the sub-unit in  the box and place my own. For example if the answer is 100 mA. instead of converting from amps to mA i can cross out the mA and write 0.1 A.

Is this correct..
Cheers

edit...hmmmm our teacher told us we can... ???

Actually my teacher showed me last year's marking guide for assessors, and apparently they are supposed to pay it if it's right. Might change from year to year but that seemed to be the case last year. To be safe, I'd go for the unit in the box anyway, conversions aren't too difficult or time consuming.
