I have an assignment due this friday, and im not too sure about how to do this question

I believe you have the shortest distance formula..also you gotta invert one of the negative signs..have a look at the order inside y component

ill be honest here. i actually dont know what youre talking about... and tbh i actually dont even know how to start the question.

like if i knew how to start the question i would know what things i would have to do but because i dont know how to start the question, im just doing things that are truly unnecessary  :(

Look at the lecture notes...I'm sure there must be some steps written there...you usually get negative y component in cross product but you gotta make that positive..this is as much as I can remember

Ok I remember something now...you take the dot product between position vector and the normal vector...and you can write that as a determinant

one thing i dont get is why there are two different sets of coordinates for each line....
