I believe you have the shortest distance formula..also you gotta invert one of the negative signs..have a look at the order inside y component

ill be honest here. i actually dont know what youre talking about... and tbh i actually dont even know how to start the question.

like if i knew how to start the question i would know what things i would have to do but because i dont know how to start the question, im just doing things that are truly unnecessary

Look at the lecture notes...I'm sure there must be some steps written there...you usually get negative y component in cross product but you gotta make that positive..this is as much as I can remember

Ok I remember something now...you take the dot product between position vector and the normal vector...and you can write that as a determinant
